For months I've been putting flowers in the niche at the back of Picklecombe Seat: just the fallen rhododendron flowers. Picklecombe seat is in Mount Edgecombe Park, on Earl's Drive, just above Fort Picklecombe. Most weekdays, and occasionally Saturdays, I walk down Earl's Drive from Maker church home to the fort: on the way I pick up fallen flowers to put in the niche. As the fallen flowers are becoming fewer, I had to climb down in the embankment yesterday, falling into the brambles. So today I collected some fallen Foxglove flowers to take there tomorrow.
