Terri did not want the prognosis and did not acknowledge what was going to happen: that was her very courageous way of coping for which I admire her greatly. However, unfortunately, that caused us not to discuss a thousand things that we needed to - so now my desperate need to talk to her about those things meets the utter impossibility of it in my mind: there is no answer to it but the mental strain of it is crippling.
